This marks the very first post in my Living with Beauty series.  What better way to kick it off than to talk about beauty from the inside-out? We can literally build beauty {glowing skin, healthy bodies, etc.} by eating food that works as fuel. And that is the beauty of Whole Foods. More on whole foods to come; promise!!

I have so much to share with you about Whole Food Eating, but I was eager to get this recipe to you before the last hurrah of Summer. You will notice that this recipe does not call for Mayonnaise. But there is a secret ingredient that more than makes up for the Mayo. I hope you enjoy sharing this cole-slaw recipe with your friends this Labor Day!

{disclaimer for people who get their panties in a wad: I do not follow a 100% Whole Foods diet -but I try, and the following recipe includes some ingredients that are not technically considered a Whole Food – ex. dijon mustard – but can be purchased as minimally-processed, minimal/real ingredients, and/or organic. Always read food labels to eliminate fake and chemical foods. Thank you kindly.}

My {secret ingredient} Whole Food Cole Slaw

One half bag of cole-slaw {containing only cabbages and carrots, pre-shredded}
1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

1/2 c.-3/4 c. of homemade 24 hr. fermented yoghurt {see recipe here}, or substitute organic plain yoghurt
1/4 c. organic canola oil {if not organic, it will likely be high in genetically modified ingredients and pesticides. Use olive oil if you don’t have organic canola oil}
1 teas. dijon mustard {watch labels for added sugar}
1 teas. honey
1/4 teas. celery seed
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Combine above ingredients. Adjust wet-to-dry ingredient ratio to your preferences. Serve and Enjoy!
