design board :: a dining room with soft French influences

My latest Design Board:

My client and I had so much fun creating her living room design {which I shared 2 weeks ago}, and our goal was to create a dining room design that would work for a space that flows together and feels like one… oh, and feels elegant, pure, and a touch “French Country.” This dining room also had to work for young children, use mostly her existing furnishings, and allow for future construction projects, all while looking gorgeous and comfortable. We even took her original living room and dining room, and flipped the two rooms around!

Some of my favorite touches in this room are:

  1. The silver platters on the wall
  2. The cozy seating area in the dining room space
  3. The blend of grays, creams, and browns
  4. The round dining room table that is not-too-big; perfect for conversation
  5. The tufted ottoman

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts on my latest design.

And if you are interested in design services, it would be my joy to help you create a space that you love. You may have a bit of a wait…. but you know what they say about “good things” and “wait”-ing!
