  • I’m enjoying this month of favorite spaces. I really love the rug in Day 23…I’ve been very focused on rugs lately! I hope you have a wonderful Allume conference, I only wish I could go – especially since you are not far away! A great time of year to visit the Upstate, as you know! Have lots of fun and good luck on Saturday – I know you will do great!

  • Great space Darlene! What do you think of this one?
I chose this space because I love the openness of it, along with the colours. The canopied bed is so romantic on its’ own but couple it with that view and the inside/outside room, it’s pure magic.
When I saw it, I started to daydream about it. Thinking first that there was no way I could implement it into my surroundings, then I realized that I could. Floor boards cut with angles and slowly faded into the distance, starting from inside the room. Of course there would be no trim on the floor because the slanted boards would climb the wall against a mural of the sunset over the mountains. A few slices from logs that have been peeled and whitewashed, set on the vertical for the posts. A few straight limbs treated the same way would make the railings. Yes, I think this gorgeous space could be brought into a bedroom.
