  • Thank you!!!! You just confirmed that I want to paint my easel in a high gloss red!!!

  • i was just hunting for a red coat before coming over here. Perfect timing;)
    Beautiful collection Darlene!

  • Wow! That kitchen is the gutsiest cabinet color I’ve ever seen! Looks amazing! That Little Green Notebook red buffet/sideboard is a favorite of mine. Red, although none of it necessarily glossy, was a favorite decor and clothing color of mine for about 12 years. My whole house was basically the color scheme of that LGN image. But I got tired of it and just recently changed out everything red in the house (dining room walls, sofa slipcovers, red accents in the kitchen, etc. etc.) replaced my 10-year-old red wool pea coat last year, and haven’t even painted my toenails red this past summer. Goodness, I even painted over any red-toned stained furniture. Just needed a change, personally, but I do think it’s a timeless color 🙂

  • Stunning, fabulous images Darlene. You have brightened my day!

  • Wow! You have surpassed yourself with this post! The reds are luscious and rich and just up my alley! These days I tend to lean toward the softer reds but this post makes me want to go all out again!

  • I love red! I have just placed a red/tan/brown plaid throw across the end of my bed this week. I’m loving it, and now I’m looking for some more red accents. I want a heavier, more cozy feel in my bedroom as the temperature continues to drop, and red can do that without being depressing. I also have plans to use pops of it in my kitchen, but I suspect it will sneak into other rooms as well. I have ALWAYS wanted a glossy red front door.

  • Ahhhh love that red wall color and the red built-ins and the red kitchen… I could go on and on. The duvet in our guest room is red and I love the bright pop of color. Hoping to incorporate more red into my kitchen too. Perhaps santa will bring me a red kitchenaid mixer for christmas…?

  • I don’t like glossy anything, even mirrors.

I’m not a big red fan, either, but I’d love a bright red front door. Maybe that could be glossy?

  • Glossy red does make a statement! One of my popular projects was a side table I repainted in a glossy lipstick red.
