this gorgeous Master Bedroom //

I am head over heels for this Master Bedroom makeover…. especially the part about the Secret Garden. {PS Huge Secret Garden fan over here. I read it until the binding broke when I was a wee girl. And fun fact: my favorite role that I ever sang was Lily in the Secret Garden. Stunning, stunning music}. You really have got to click over and see the brilliance of Lauren. Her vision just screams talent, and her restraint vs. bold strokes style makes me grin huge-like. And, besides getting schooled in design brilliance when you click on over… if you scroll to the bottom Lauren’s post, you will also get to see some cuteness that – I promise – will make you smile.

this amazing cake from a  friend //

Those of you who hang with me on Instagram saw that I got a much needed Va-ca. Well, while I was in paradise, I also got to visit a wonderful friend… Ruth, who just happens to bake a mean hummingbird cake. We had a wonderful evening in their home, enjoying dinner and our kiddos swimming and laughing. I still need to share on Instagram a fun video of our kids belting Frozen tunes… be looking for that goodie.

You will want to check out her recipe. Because it was delicious {not on my diet, but WORTH the nibble}!! But also, have a ball perusing her rocking blog. Ruth is filled with no-nonsense goodness.

this in-progress office //

When I grow up, I want to have a settee in my office. Or, maybe just… an office. Anywho. I LOVE this office my friend Nester is creating. So peaceful. The perfect girly escape – just a stone’s throw from her back door. Literally. You will want to hop over to see all the other lovely ideas in this evolving space. A bed… and a settee! Honestly, girl, how do you get any work done?? #Iwouldbenapping

this DIY worth doing //

I am IN LOVE with this paper-mache gold bowl project. It is SUPER EASY and inexpensive, for SUPER GORGEOUS results. Even though…. you all know that I hate DIY-ing. So, if any of my friends are reading this, I want you to make me this  for my birthday. M’kay?? And Genius Jen, these bowls are GORGEOUS! I think one or two would be just darling on my library bookshelves, no?

    Hi Darlene,
I actually love Lauren Liess’ s blog, her bedroom is beautiful along with all the other areas of her home. I also love her personality. And I blame her for making me a blog addict haha, her blog was the first one I started reading and since then I can’t stop. I am glad you talked about her.
    🙂 xoxo
